It's very motivating and uplifting.
It reinforces ones relentless drive to be successful, despite never really getting any breaks.
Carrying one's own weight, and having their painstaking work speak for itself.
While i must say - Drake is still developing as an artist; but being on this track with three multi-platinum artists is no small feat.
It is recognition and acknowledgment by the industries swimming in my money come and find me nemo - That Drake is here to stick around.
He uses "brown" to refer to a drug, but then, follows up with Nino.
Mimicking his early construction of of "last name ever" "first name greatest".
He does the same, with "brown, Nino".
Nino is the head of the Cash Money Brothers or CMB which is a crack dealing network based in Harlem.
The next few verses by Drake, are about his success, and how he has risen from mixtapes, and not taking other peoples deconstructive criticism seriously.
Now Drake's stanza, starts to diminish on content and value as soon as he starts narrating his success.
I personally don't give two turds of reason, to hear about how an artist has came into the scene.
I don't want to hear it in my music, i can look it up on wikipedia.
Yet, i don't condone the chorus, because its secular enough to be uplifting rather than cliched narration.
Also, the way Drake says "bitches" at the endsounds off rhythm.
He shouldn't have enunciated as slow a two syllable word, but rather more nonchalantly.
West, tends to exploit excessive metaphors and similes, creating very visual verses that have very gruesome and jarring connotations.
Hearing this line, just brings the emphatic value of his stanza down significantly.
I feel though, people that are easy to amuse, and unable to differentiate good music, from "epic" music, will easily be amused and relish in being able to recognize the reference.
Trust me - It's "superbad".
The following few line subtly diss the president, and all the critic's and "haters".
Repetitively, emphasizing that they don't "know him".
I don't think Kayne even knows himself, yet alone do i want hear about him "humbling his ways".
Hasn't he been trying to be humble, ever since he made it onto the scene?
Kayne just needs to find a bitch maybe a wife that will put him in his place.
And what's the significance of trading a plaque for someones life back.
It's just a weak verse.
Materialistic does not equate humanistic.
I know that Kayne is trying to say that he'd trade his success and fame, for his grandmother back; but i don't buy it, it's just weak.
Initially Kayne sounds "normal" however as the stanza progresses, his voice, tone, and attitude becomes disgruntled and raspy.
It's like he's in bitter agony, almost being "emo".
Go for broke His cup just runneth over, oh no He aint had a real buzz like this since the last time that he overdosed Theyve been waiting patiently for Pinocchio to poke his nose Back into the game and they know Rap will swimming in my money come and find me nemo be the same as before Bashing in the brains of these hoes And establishing a name as he goes The passion and the flame is ignited You cant put it out once we light it This shit is exactly what the fuck that Im talking about when we riot You dealin with a few true villains Whose stand inside of the booth truth spillin And spit true feelings, until our tooth fillings come flying up out of our mouths Now rewind it!
Payback muthafucka for the way that you got at me hows it taste?
When I slap the taste out your mouth with the bass so loud that it shakes the place Im Hannibal Lecter so just in case youre thinking of saving face You aint gonna have no face to save by the time I'm through with this place So Drake I don't even know where to begin.
Eminem, makes a Koenigsegg look like a joke.
Thought your analysis was quite impressive until you got all emotional in regards to West and then pretty much said nothing notable about Wayne and Eminem's pieces.
I thought it was quite insightful.
Love the song and this is just what I think is the meaning.
I have to agree with many in that Eminem was amazing but I think everyone else was amazing too I have to say I'm biased I loved Lil' Wayne.
General CommentYou may find this far fetched if you don't listen closely, but I honestly think that is the sickest verse Eminem has ever done.
Maybe not the favorite, surely not the most popular, but my spine tingles every time I listen to it.
Try keeping up with him, it's simply mind blowing.
My OpinionPeople are too biased towards eminem because he's the biggest star?
I mean, of course he's brilliant but he doesn't "kill" kanye and Wayne, they are fantastic and hold their own up.
This song has the three rappers that saved rap, the best ones around atm in fact.
Thank GOD eminem is back!!!
And lil'Wayne's gonna be outta prison soon!!!
General CommentAll the rappers are telling us how stardom has changed them and their lives, Drake starts of by saying how hard he has worked to make his dream a realalty.
He says how his life is different and how he is enjoying it.
Kayne then takes the next verse by saying how he has lost contact will all his old friends and rarely gets to see his granny.
Lil wayne is on the same lines swimming in my money come and find me nemo drake.
He likes his new life and makes a heap of medafore.
Eminem as usual delivered a great rap.
Sure, Eminem's part was badass, but he also chose, along with two other very successful artists, to be featured on DRAKE's single, so evidently they think he's pretty awesome.
And I think the song is great because each individual part made it great.
I don't think they were trying to upstage each other.
Drake, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Eminem - Forever + Lyrics
None of the children in his classroom ever take him up on his offer to, "Come on, sing with me!" (Although they are kindergarteners; the scientific names are probably a little too hard to pronounce for most of them.) Nemo trying (and failing) to tell Mr. Ray where he lives: in an anemone. To be fair, you'd probably have trouble with that phrase.
Instead of criticising write the variants.
